Training Days

Each year we hold a range of training courses across the UK on our Finance, Donations and Membership Co-ordinator packages. All of our training has been designed to help you get the most out of your time by getting the most out of our software. Each course has been developed and improved over a number of years by listening to our customers and evaluating each training day.

Courses are delivered by qualified and experienced trainers, and run from 9am till 4pm with lunch and refreshments provided. Each attendee has access to the use of a laptop, giving you the opportunity to follow along with the trainers or simply watch the screen and take notes. Written materials are also provided for you to take home.

We currently hold courses in Wolverhampton, Edinburgh, York, Dartford, Watford, Winchester, Heathrow, and Leeds.



Wolverhampton courses cost £135 Inc. VAT

Other courses cost £165 Inc. VAT

However due to the current pandemic we are hosting online training sessions in order to help churches and charities increase donations and get the most out of their use of MyGiving and MyFundAccounting. The dates, times and what’s included in each session is detailed below:

Donations Co-ordinator is our complete donations management system for churches and charities.

Designed to easily manage the way you handle donations and giving for your organisation and enabling your donations to be claimed simply and directly to the HMRC

Module 1

In this module we will cover - Setting up - adding purposes and methods, entering your organisation details, User preferences and GDPR settings


Module 2

In this module we will cover - Entering donors including Quick add donor and gift, Entering donations individually, in a batch and via envelopes


Module 3

In this module we will cover - Entering regular donations, importing donations from Excel, Entering GASDS, aggregate and sponsorship donations


Module 4

In this module we will cover - How to make a claim to the HMRC, Gift aid refunds and thank you letters

The course covers entering template and regular transactions, multiple income and expenditure transactions, standing orders and post-box/agency accounts. Our Finance Co-ordinator Start-up course has been designed for people who want to start ‘from scratch’ and who may not be familiar with fund accounting or computerised accounts. It includes a brief overview of fund accounting and covers setting up simple accounts including adding nominal codes, funds, bank accounts, starting balances and entering simple and memorised transactions. Worked examples are provided as are sample exercises to complete throughout the day.

What is the role of a treasurer? Should you pay expenses out of the offertory? How should you handle petty cash? Just some of the common questions that the treasurer can struggle with. The role of a treasurer can be an onerous and a difficult task and sometimes you can feel that there is nowhere to turn for an answer. The cost is £45 per person inc VAT This 4 hour course run by Stephen Hendy and Helen Blundell aims to help answer these questions and others whilst also suggesting recommended financial controls and tips for best practice. These are all aimed at helping to manage the accounts well, easing the stress of the treasurer, helping control risks and can even help achieve good value for money.
